Absurd World Poem by Sandra Feldman

Absurd World

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes, you've got,
Nothing to say,
You're tired of thinking,
Just want to go away,
On a moonlit ship,
That no one can sway,
In an absurd world,
Of untruths that prey,
Upon your sanity,
In a political way.

So tired of arguments,
That just aren't true,
Throughout History,
It seems, Nothing is new,
At the foot of the Forum,
You hear a Patrician say,
'I have a mental club,
For you all, today',
'People, don't speak,
Don't think, just go away,
And don't come back looking,
For the Democracy,
We've taken away'
