Abused Poem by Chrystal Von

Abused

The tears I didn't cry
Didn't faze you at all.
Nothing I did for you
Was ever enough.

The words you never said,
The actions you rammed against me,
The holes in the doors and walls
The insults and put downs still linger.

In me, in the walls I tried to make a home
But all you could see
Was the one mistake I made
You kept saying was done and history.

Now I am alone in my thoughts,
the kids are taking it hard.
Your son doesn't recall the things he saw you do
Your girl just wants mom to heal her heart.

But on my own, even with your echoes
My soul has finally found a peace
You could never find within yourself
And you would never find with me.
