My Prison Ship Poem by Chrystal Von

My Prison Ship

Rating: 5.0

The ship that held me captive
I finally set it ablaze.
My Father sought me out.
It was me he wanted to save.

The Devil is a liar.
He had convinced my heart,
That I did not deserve Love,
That we would always be apart.

Then, one day He woke me,
And gave me back my voice.
He helped me to realize,
My prison was my choice.

So, I walked off the boat,
And stood to watch it burn.
I turned my back on my mistake,
But I took what I had learned.

I would never be that person:
Silent, helpless, and meek.
I would try to be the Daughter,
My Father took the time to seek.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Marvellous! Let me quote " Ephesians 2: 8-9 'For by grace you have been saved through faith. " For Faith heals! Loved it, dear poet.
