Acceptance? Poem by anthony jones

Acceptance?

Remember when we were dancing in December time?
Ghostlike figures peppering the cool hillside.

Entangled in a lattice of scarves and snowdrops we shuffled on by
As children's laughter pierced the misty skies.

Like candle wax in the twilight feelings melted against the quivering flame.
Shadows pranced to trick and thieve the light, for whom we abruptly blamed.

We dashed over the powdery sheets, evading the crumbling, cold, vanilla-like snowballs. It was all real to me.
Frosty, steaming, icy sleighs shoveling the snow aside.
Nostalgic I may be.

I miss that I don't miss you anymore my dear,
Forever in my heart you were caged.
But our time had ended just like that frozen day,
When all this was staged.

Your revelling in the memory of that time is well brought out in this very nostalgic poem that is endearing. The best to you, arya
