The smartest thing ever said
The smartest thing ever read,
Pertains to our beliefs and feelings
Being judgmental in our healings.
No matter the regret
Or the worries or tears you fret,
No matter how long they last
They can never change the past.
No amount of anxiety
No matter of angst or doubt or plea,
Can ever prevent one scratch or sorrow
It can never change our tomorrow.
We must focus on the present
That is the only guarantee we are sent,
In regret and/ or in anxiety never wallow
Then happiness soon will follow.
