Acrostic Of Your Name #5 Poem by Doris Cornago

Acrostic Of Your Name #5

Rating: 5.0

If truth be told, we're similar in that we pursue
Images in the mirror, the ideals we want
Those can't be true, apparitions
Mere hallucinations
From a dead
Unlived
Past
We've
Left behind
When still children
Fairytales, rhymes, mimes
Acting out roles in computer games
Indicting the culprits in our lives, vindicated

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Failures should not be faulted when we are stopped in our tracks. It's a redirection, that's what I always say, even when I bleed from every stoppage. That's life, who are we to complain about it?
