Adeste Fideles On The Pump Organ With Variations Poem by Raymond Farrell

Adeste Fideles On The Pump Organ With Variations

My fingers feel confident
With the strength of oxen
Yet the grace and poise
Of a prima ballerina
Allows them to flutter
Back and forth
Ranging over the octaves
Grazing contentedly
My soul caresses each key
And my feet pump rhythmically
Up right down left
Down right up left
Yielding an even pitch
I feel a soft inner glow
Heating red with intensity
Note by note
Combining reverberating in my mind
Entranced I imagine
The flowers on the back board
Begin to bloom
And give off a strange enchanting scent.
