This affair with deceit.
Has been too loved to be yet over.
It is in the fabric of a quilt.
Pieced together with velvet and silk.
And exhibited everywhere to addict.
A mindset not getting enough of it.
With parts of it frayed and tarnished.
But this quilt has with time long represented,
What it is that has become valued.
Regardless if it is stripped,
In a public defiance.
Of what is being done that proves,
The purpose of it had been to delude.
It still will remain valued,
As that which best represents...
What so many have come to believe,
The only reason their entitlements...
And freedoms to do as they wish exist.
This affair with deceit,
Has been theirs to have known...
Throughout their beloved history.
