No man will want to wake up to see a dawn
that will instill fear and make him run; ;
no women will want to sit in her home
and fear for her safety all day long;
no child will want to stop to run outdoors
and find no friends to play or talk;
no neighbors will want to await a dusk
without peace and let tension create an uncertainty;
no elders will sleep the night
without prayers of mercy on their lips.
Yes, no inch of thought passes
without imagining what their fate will be tomorrow;
no minute, no hour thus passes
without worries and anxieties taking away the tranquility;
no strength or fortitude thus lasts
without gloom and doom as so lost they feel;
no spectrum of credence thus lasts
without the sordid realities confronting them;
no initiative of world has come by to help them
without which there is no helping hand around them;
none ever wants to run as refugees to escape the crimes
without any pain in their hearts
though courage is within them;
no prayer will be whispered
without tears in their eyes of every one who has lost
a brother or a sister in the war;
no street will be silent or boisterous
without the usual cordiality and harmony;
no child will thus sleep in a mother's arms
without the nightmare of war that he has just seen.

So, show mercy to this country of full of dismay
show compassion to the people so full of affliction
show gentleness to children who face revulsion
show respect to women as if they are your mothers.
