After Poem by Vin Ace

After

Alone in the emerging stillness of the night.
I think of you and the love we once had.
The memories of our laughter and bodily embrace,
Linger in my heart and skin like a burning itch.
My heart aches with painful emptiness,
As I long for your calm, peace and tenderness.

I try to fill the void with mundane things,
But nothing can replace the joy that love brings.
The memories of us, on replay in my mind,
Reminding me of your laughter and beautiful smile.
But now a deafening silence is all I can find,
And the longing for your love consumes my mind.

After all this time my mind can find no calm,
After our splice, I still desire your love.
I wish to see you and restore things as afore,
To use your love to mend my aching core.
So I can be free from this sorrow and tears,
After it all, I still want you back by me.

If you ever again want to fall in love.
If someday you want to be my lonesome one.
If you ever desire just another try,
If you ever want to rectify our past times.
If you ever want to change your mind,
If you ever want to give it another go.
I still want you here right by my side,
And, I'm still waiting, after all this time.
