After Graduation. Poem by Tilen Ochieng

After Graduation.

Rating: 4.8

In the world now a graduate stands,
With dreams that soar in distant lands.
Yet burdened by a weighty plight,
No wealth, no job in sight.

Responsibilities weigh heavy, you see,
Siblings relying, looking, key to his plea.
The laurels of education on his brow,
But empty pockets trouble him now.

Ambition fuels this heart of might,
Though circumstances dim the light.
With courage stout and dreams unbound,
Hope lingers, though fate's tough ground.

Through trials tough and skies of gray,
Persistence guides through the dismay.
A graduate poised for untold feats,
His spirit resilient, never retreats.

For in this struggle, a strength does grow,
A tale of perseverance in the ebb and flow.
Though broke, with duties unforeseen,
He's rich in heart, a resilient sheen.

So let this chapter mark the start,
Where challenges mold a resilient heart.
A graduate amidst life's bumpy road,
Destined to rise, to shine, and unload.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

When one finds one's life, one's resources wanting, one's life shrinks to one's wants. Good poem. And congratulations on Poem Of The Day..

Graduated, that's it, BUT then walking to the future, to have that cerificate, is not easy to get the job paid, he must still work hard to have success in his life. A graduated person must still work on his career to have success. Excellent poem.
