After The Math Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

After The Math

Unmistakable is the view.
To know it before.
And after the math for a progress wished.
With attempts to have happen,
Those enhancements implemented.

Too many steps taken backward.
Stay remaining romanced.
Without taking chances to believe,
Not too cost effective is the financing.
To leave a past for a future no one sees.
Although investments to make are raised.
To renovate that which is familiar.
With fresh coats of colorful pastel,
Pleasing to the eye paint.
Making that task less expense to debate.
Leaving many sitting back,
On their comfortable harrassments to make.
To know them familiar done to do.
Yet say they pray everyday,
For changes wished for them come true.
If only they had the money to do it.
