AFTER THE PARTY GETS OVER!
After the party gets over, lingering perfumes
remain;
There is smoke in the air and nothing remains
the same!
The music has long ceased and empty dishes, -
Now fill-up the kitchen sink!
A few glasses with left over drinks are picked –
up on trays;
The table gets cleaned and chairs are rearranged!
The carpet may be stained and a fork lies on the
ground,
If curtains are stained too, - it now gets a frown!
“Thanks for the great dinner ”, - echoes down
the corridor, -
As the guests leave the house shutting the door!
The emptiness once more slowly surges in,
As silence fill-up the space, - left vacant within!
