After Time Reveals The Deceiving Kind - Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar
I can understand why you have chosen a mask,
From which undercover you feel an ease...
To address insults a disguise allows to please.
Cowards seem always proud of such conquests.
These actions affords them,
An attention they get to spew their bitterness.
But somehow their minds stay stuck and confined,
To an emptiness that smothers them...
With a hatred of self they can not leave behind!
And this exposes who they really are,
Time after time...
After time reveals the deceiving kind!
