Last night...last night its heart died,
it fluttered, and quivered,
like a little fish out of the sea,
all was anguish,
breathing drop by drop,
its body shuddered,
and its reason raved;
It tried to drown what it felt
but it couldn't.
It could not even cry what it felt
since it felt nothing.
! Its heart was already dead!

Last night…! last night its heart died

Anoche... anoche murió su corazón,
revoloteaba y se estremecía,
cuan pececito fuera del mar,
todo era angustia,
respiración gota a gota,
se estremecía su cuerpo
y desvariaba su razón.
Trataba de ahogar lo que sentía,
más no podía,
no podía ni siquiera llorar lo que sentía,
pues no sentía nada,
! ya estaba muerto su corazón!

Anoche...! Anoche murió su corazón
