Alcoholic Addiction! Leave!
O' friend who spoils your sense
...by drinking liquor daily!
The bad habit generally
...will burn your life!
Searching in which the pleasure is,
...you consider that it is in liquor,
why do you destroy
...by addicting yourself?
The devil locked in the bottle, liquor,
...which can't maintain discipline in you,
holding you firmly,
...felling you by making you worse,
increasing fuddle as adding to the agony,
...makes your life dry,
get away this habit today itself,
...why this? leave it and go! go!

அறுசீர் விருத்தம்
(விளம் மா தேமா அரையடிக்கு)
மதுவினைக் குடித்தே நாளும்
....மதிதனைக் கெடுக்கும் தோழா!
பொதுவினில் பொல்லாப் பழக்கம்
....பொசுக்கிடும் உந்தன் வாழ்வை!
எதுதனில் இருக்கும் இன்பம்
....என்பதைத் தேடி நீயும்
மதுதனில் உண்டாம் என்றே
....மயங்கியே அழிவ தென்னே?
புட்டியில் அடைத்த பூதம்
....புரிந்திட முடியா வாதம்
கெட்டியாய்ப் பிடித்து உன்னை
....கெட்டவன் ஆக்கிச் சாய்க்கும்
வட்டியாய் வளரும் போதை
....வற்றிட வைக்கும் வாழ்வை
எட்டிநீ போவாய் இன்றே
....ஏனிது? விட்டே போ! போ!
