So when we gonna hook up
Let's get a little shook up
I'll put on a little makeup
Call me when you wake up

I walked through fire to get to you
I woke the lions trying to make it to you
I wish that I knew
What you want to do

We're both compromised
Stuck between lies
Running from our alibis
Cutting all outside ties

We separated ourselves from the world
Trying to see how it all works
I don't want you to get hurt
If things turn to the worse

No need for you to get beat up for no reason
We've changed ourselves within the seasons
Held by ransom for treason
All I need is a reason

I'm watching and waiting for you to say you want me
There's promises made that neither of us can see
All these promises that neither of us can keep
Am I more than what you really need

I want to stay away but I can't give up
Can't keep what I feel shut up
I don't want to leave us held up
But is it ever gonna be enough
