All By Yourself Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

All By Yourself

You do exactly what you wish and when.
Without considering,
Who may think what you do offends.
And then you point your finger,
Giving attitude.
To those unwilling to support,
The foolish things you do.

Maybe they know your thinking isn't done with thought.
And maybe your thoughts often turn on to turn off.
Not caring to listen when others start to talk.

All by yourself.
You want to be.
All by yourself.

Thoughtless and ungrateful.
This is you most of the time.
And you could care less,
How others feel or have in mind.
With this to do.
To prove it too.

All by yourself.
You wanna be.
All by yourself.

You do exactly what you wish to do this done.
Then when your doing disappoints,
You blame everyone.
Even those you dismiss and their advice to give.
You're quick to disrespect them.
For something that you did.

All by yourself.
You want to be.
All by yourself.

You live to get attention.
And this is your intention.

All by yourself.
You wanna be.
All by yourself.

You want to get attention.
And this is your intention.

All by yourself.
