All Men Are Equal Poem by Randy McClave

All Men Are Equal

Rating: 5.0

Some men are born poor
While other are born with riches,
Some men are born wearing bibbed overalls
While some are born wearing fine laid out britches.
Some men went to the finest colleges
Whereas some never finished high school,
Some men swim only in ponds and rivers
While others swim in a granite lined pool.
Some men they say are born the wrong color
While many they say are born the wrong race,
Some men are told they have the wrong religion
While many men have never touched fine lace.
Some men work only in an office
While others work daily in the field,
Some men beg only for food and change
While all men are able to be spiritual healed.
Some men are born so strong
While others are born so very weak,
Some men are admired by their handsome looks
While the looks of some have caused others to shriek.
All men are born interesting
And in life they will all leave their mark,
One thing though we must all remember;
All men are equal, in the dark.

We are who we are, some good qualities some bad, but like you said, all men are equal in the dark. A great poem.
