Almanac

GPS?
No such thing in those days
We used tool instead
Among them:
VOR and TACAN
ADF and LORAN
PRESSURE and SEXTANT.

They helped find locations
LOPs were taken
Of the sun, moon, stars
For that used Almanac.

Like a safe in the bank
Not money, had info
The angles and the heights.

Gone those days and at home
I read an Almanac
Of People, of near and long past.

Countries and borders
False, true their leaders
And much more…
