As fall's leaves fall and the air turns crisp and cold,
Winter comes around
Outsiders rejoice to await the Day
But we cringe and we brace ourselves,
Not for the cold that'll whisk us away but the emotions that'll break us apart
And put us back together in the wrong ways
What happens though? What happens when the trees relive again and spring's warmth kisses our cheeks once more?
Do our lives go on and do we find joy once again?
Some of us do
But those stuck in the winter's snow linger in the spring's fog
And we stay forgotten and alone
An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely brought forth in good diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Oliver.

This poem is very well written. It plays on the emotions of the readers, which isn't something that every piece can do. Good job!
