Alone Poem by soren Barrett

Alone

Alone on the sea of humanity
Floundering, ready to quit
Whether fantasy or reality
A piece of a puzzle that doesn't fit
Social gibberish doesn't interest me
So relegated to a corner I sit
Because I smile at what they can't see
They say my humor is only half wit
To the crime of life a plea of insanity
If I had only one wish this would be it
Only a flash let my pain be
And to the scaffold of eternal silence me admit
