Enfys Roberts

Alright - Poem by Enfys Roberts

Who do you go to?
Turn to, speak to?
When everything
Eats itself.

Was it that?
Was it her?
Was it him?
Was it them?

And is it all at once
In some random heavy day?

When red eyed stumbles out of bed
Ninety minutes before work opens
Bitter bellied and numb:
No shower - that was last night.

Tidy hair, iron cloth,
breakfast and hot drink.

Gather it all up.
Prepare lunchbox.

On the bus
Then on the train.

Walking outside
walk inside.

'Hello! '

Turn on the screen
And quickly check.

Work...
Tea...
Relief...
D izziness...
Pain...
Leaving...

Walki ng outside
Walk inside.
