Dear heart beyond the stillness-
Has broken the silence inside of me
Known therein, now apathy
Plays out torments once set free

Break wayward from, our yesterday
And wake me in a new
Rest these dreams of long ago
My thoughts of missing you

Why must reflections haunt these dreams
From reminiscence brought to life
Forever reaching to love a ghost-
Once cherished as my wife

Leave me, dreams of what once was
Lay the dead to final rest
Blame me not with punishments
For the weakness I have left

Lay forth my spirit now to rest
Free, before my time
Bring back the goodness to shine once more
For a friend of lovely mind

Sorrows are to be forgotten
When a new era must arrive
Therefore, today must begin, forever
In the eyes of my new life
