Am I Lost? Poem by Lizzie O'Neill

Am I Lost?

Life's all good,
You're on high,
Then a missile comes,
And takes you out the sky.

Your happy and can't be taken down,
Until you're on your own and you can no longer hide the frown,
You sit there,
With a glass of wine and a cigarette,
You wonder why you care,
Care so much about their reply,
Will it leave you low or raise you to an unnatural high.

Are you depressed or are you fine,
I guess you will have to do the time,
Go to them and seek what's true,
The only ones who can give you a clue.

Is it something real or is it in your head?
Will you deal with it?
Or become one of the statistics that fled.

Am I depressed or am I all good
Is the demon inside or on the hood?
I need to know
I need to be sure
Am I lost?
Or is there a cure
