Amazing Grace Poem by Christina Simmons

Amazing Grace

Amazing angel hanael, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I am found
Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that angel hanael appeared
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come
'Tis angel Hanael has brought me thus far
And she will lead me home

The universe has promised good to me
My hope and aspiration secures
My shield and portion be
As long as life endures

Yeah, when this flesh and heart shall fail
And mortal life shall cease
We shall possess within the veil
A life of joy and peace

We all have been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We're always gonna sing angel's praise
As when we first began

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Put my own imprint to this very famous religious hymn; (though in theory for me is a spiritual anthem!) .
