When You Walk Alone. Poem by Christina Simmons

When You Walk Alone.

Rating: 3.0

When you walk alone life goes on,
When you fall pick yourself up,
Brush your body down...
Cause life goes on.

When you are feeling hurt,
Put on a brave smile,
Do not let others see you weep,
Cry if you must...

Tear drops are cleansing...
Don't forget to wipe those tears,
Cause life goes on.

Don't throw in the towel...
Though the loser you are today,
Tomorrow is yet to come...
You maybe the winner then.

Think of the bright colourful rainbow...
That's yet to arrive...
Hoping you too... will not walk alone.

For Each and every one of us
There's a star!
Yours has yet to come.

You may not collect yours today,
This doesn't mean...
You don't have one...
It may have fallen too.

Yet still it will go on shining...
You too must attempt on gleaming...
Like the bright star that you are.

I know the feeling. To be alone in the universe the way your poem shows, in a fine balance.
