American Tradition Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

American Tradition

Renegade gathering, filled with those who love Harleys and/or motorcycles for their excitement and fervor for the good ol' USA.
Strong American ties, saturating youth with freedom and belonging, holding on to life-long traditions in spite of deteriorating aspects of illegals infiltrating our peaceful and decent nation.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My grandparents came over from Mierto, Sicily in the 1800's. They became American citizens and went through all the red tape, because they wanted to be Americans. Even went so far as to speak only English outside their homes. It was my first language and I was taught English after they became citizens.
