An Eagle's Wing Poem by Sandra Martyres

An Eagle's Wing

Rating: 5.0

The eagle just flapped its wings
Before making a graceful landing
On the roof of any nearby building
The young boy always watched in awe
Captivated by the sheer size of the bird
His dream was to fly on its wing
And enjoy the experience of
Soaring high up in the blue skies
He knew it would happen one day
And it did –the only difference
He flew, not on an eagle’s wing
But seated in an aeroplane

What an uplifting story! And delivered simply and effectively. The eagle is certainly a symbol of freedom and lightness of being! Great piece. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Sandra, what a beautiful comparison an eagle and an aeroplane. Eagles are beautiful birds when they are in flight soaring high in the air with an ever watchful eye on the ground below. Top marks and thanks for sharing this with us my friend. Hugs David
