An Earthquake Mountains Moves Poem by Terence George Craddock

An Earthquake Mountains Moves

Rating: 5.0

a body of stone
mass motionless
stasis stored gravity
an immoveable mountain
solid ageless immoveable moves
suddenly weight energy released immobility
moves momentum mass immobile sprung decisively
suddenly weight energy surge spring released decisively

suddenly weight energy velocity released decisively
must mass run its gravity down hill course
gravity seeks stasis stability motionless
when mass moved establishes new stasis
large pieces attain equilibrium must driven
driven first fall fast but even dust must time settle
mass large boulder pieces boulders large rocks
rocks large stones stones large pebbles dust settles

This is a great metaphor...the most rock solid stubbornness, seemingly immutable, can be reduced to ruble, perhaps through willpower.

this was a fun write, a fast write, facing the avalanche, sometimes there is a buzz in the writing which stays in the words, the wow what a ride moments
