An Empty Corridor Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

An Empty Corridor

The corridor is empty,
There is no one in the vast space,
The magnificent car is ready to take the great men in the strange land,
Though they have not yet arrived.
The ambitious men want to explore the strange country,
Earlier they promised to assemble the corridor this day in time,
But no one is there till now.
The famous men aspire to explore the strange world,
But the news comes at the end that they are afraid to plunge;
The car waits and waits in vain
And finally goes back.
Yonder a vagabond bursts into laughter
With a peculiar gesture and concludes,
"They will never come."
