An Evanescent Face Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

An Evanescent Face

Rating: 3.0

Her face isn't evanescent!
She ruffled the calm stream
of my wondering mind to make
ripples of waves and sounds.
She taught my youthful heart
to flight into the heavenly realm.

Her face isn't evanescent!
She fell me into perils of life
not to harm me but she to escape.
She moulded my frigid heart
to face the coming disasters
to my family, kith and kin.

Her face isn't evanescent!
When I faced the fray after fray
to settle down in life afar,
she healed my mauled heart
with her lingering lively smiles
and revived my spirit to go ahead.
