An Excruciating Experience! - Poem by Shubhangini Rawat

I had an excruciating experience,
which gave me inconvenience.

I was told to sit beside a strident,
so that she would have conveyance!

She was a girl from near my residence,
who's father never paid maintenance.
I knew i needed resistance!

When the teacher started taking attendance,
she started talking about her accidents.

But i am proud of my perseverance,
as i did not get from her, any riddance!

Keep writing, Shubhangini...you have the talent. This poem reads well because of the rhyming pattern, but rhyming seems to have taken far too much priority... (Report) Reply
