You pass on wise advice from a teacher to students, yet in a humorous tone,
' Quack, quack says the duck'. That phrase gives the poem more heft and
    impact.

It's your greatness to advise children as a teacher. I am glad to read it today on the 2nd of October the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi the 20th century holy saint of India who lived physically and spiritually for the uplift of the downtrodden. I like this kind of simplicity and humbling

    Quack, quack says the duck,
Do your work, don't pass the buck.
Such a mighty mandate to motivate industry! Well done my friend. A great poem especially for the youth who need the gift of industry!

(cont.) ... i believe you have a serious typo....[i made a serious one once also, which another PH poet kindly pointed out to me].... : Oppose nonviolence and avoid it. i'm SURE you meant violence. perhaps more proofreading is in order? ! again, you have given much good advice, but sometimes your meanings could be more clear.
And you mention in the P.N., but i don't see it in the poem.

(cont.) the poem gives some good advice, but i also would not use buck in two ways, at least without more clarification in the poem. in the P.N. (cont.)

(cont.) .. Be wake of quack and the hulk. i think children (and many adults) would not know you were referring in the poem to a 'fake/unskilled doctor (or lawyer, or carpenter, etc.) , ESPECIALLY when you also use quack for the sound of a duck! and, in my opinion, a hulk is not necessarily a 'bad person or thing! ! actually The Hulk was a green, muscle-bound fictional 'superhero' in American comic books and TV. his goodness or badness is open to question! ! i have read the poem and the Poet's Notes (including definitions) . THANKS FOR P.N. i think your P.N. explanations are (at times) much clearer than the lines of the poem. too bad, i think. sometimes i feel a poet insists on a rhyme scheme and the poem suffers because of the inflexibility it may require in the rest of the words.
there are times (few, but some) when i forgo rhyming in order to make myself understood, without changing too much i've already written in a couplet. (cont.)

This is beautifully written poem for children. Enjoyed reading it as asked my grand-daughter to read it. Her observation floored me. She said, why did uncle have to explain the poem. Does he think, we can not understand?

The title of this beautiful poem drew me to read this piece. The repetition of the first line throughout the entire poem made the poem very lively and mellifluous. A magnificent poem that carries words of wisdom and great advice for both and children.
