An Inert Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

An Inert Love

Listening to this poetical heart, wanting to be held and filled
with love and understanding unconditionally, a tempest of desire
and passion finding it's way into this being.

Alone and unrefined, wanting the totality of an inert love fill-
ing so divinely without hurting or harming in any way, thinking
and dreaming of you and I in the throes of love.

That seems so long ago, now only missing having you lying along-
side of me each night, holding one another closely, whispering
sweet nothings while making love.
