An Olive Branch Poem by David Harris

An Olive Branch

Rating: 5.0

If everyone held out
an olive branch
to everyone,
maybe peace at last
would come to our world
and we would hear
no more crying from mothers
over lost husbands and sons
who have fallen
in far distant lands.
Sadly, that perspective
will never be
so long as there is someone
who wants something
that is owned by someone else.

sad how the mind works...even if we got rid of all the evil.....new ones would come along after.....either that the human race would be done as we know it.....not to many would be spared

A fine reflection on the pity of man's inhumanity to man. Isn't the olive branch a beautiful symbol? Thanks for this. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
