An Ordinary Human Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

An Ordinary Human

Rating: 5.0

Ordinary man

I searched and found
The queen was looking so proud
But pure at heart and clean in mind
It was world’s most precious find

It echoes like cuckoo’s voice
Full of confidence and promises
I found the way open in milky sky
Nothing was needed but only tries

She is nature’s child
Beautiful and kind
Honest and mild
How can one remain blind?

It may be coincidence
If ever comes by chance
To be with her in anticipation
With strong and firm foundation

Rainbow may look dim
Colors may now represent her very slim
She is towering strength with elegance
I must make mend at once

I heard her with suppressed whisper
She wanted to say or murmur
I shall pick up her lost words
She may certainly fall in and look forward

She may speak nothing
I may have to do something
There is no point in separating again
That may give me more pain

I hold her firmly and not allow
To go away for me to follow
No it is not done for the good
I know her well an understood

I find her different
Once know before and now present
She is reformed and pure
I am very much firm and sure

Cherie Wallace6 minutes ago I think it would be better without the first stanza and I do not like how she is nature's child in the beginning. I do not like that because I do not think I understand that. The poem needs some adjectives to describe and clarify her transformation. Colors and the kind of imagery that describes touch could be a welcome addition as well. There are a few touch-imagery allusions, but I think more would improve it.
