An Undecided Relationship Poem by Daya Nandan

I cannot be wasting my time waiting for a girl,
Who cannot even decide what she wants in the world,
I cannot be lead on by a woman who is not ready to decide,
If she wants out or wants to spend her life by my side,

I am not stupid enough to be lead on like a fool,
I am not some option or convenient tool,
I have been in enough relationships to know,
That I cannot be with somebody with no commitment to show,

I am not going to pause and put my life on hold,
For a person that equates my value to a piece of coal,
I am not going to hang on a rope until you are ready to choose,
Which option in life you are ready to use,

I am not waiting in uncertainty because you are not ready,
For Icannot waste my time on a relationship that is unsteady,
I am walking out of your childish mess,
Leaving behind the memories and wishing you the best,

You can take your time to clear your confusion alone,
As long as you do not involve me and leave me alone,
I rather find another that knows the value of this love of mine,
Who is not a waste of my precious youth and time,

I am so sorry that I can no longer wait,
I am so sorry that I am breaking up and walking out the gate,
I am sorry that i have to leave this love behind,
With only memories of us that i can play i my mind.
