The message was not revealed.
A loving display by the smitten
Tenderly and beautifully written.

Why was it deliberately undisclosed?
No reply was given to the proposed…
The predictable reply gave no choice.
Rejection was spoken without a voice.

There must be a missing piece to the puzzle.
What was the spur for the apparent muzzle?
Was the love letter intentionally misplaced?
Did doubt take over when reality was faced?
