Anatomy For Kids Poem by Neil McGreevy

Anatomy For Kids

Rating: 5.0

My head sits on the upper deck
squarely perched upon my neck
it's quite a cozy habitat
a handy spot to put my hat

My eyes are at the perfect height
one on the left, one on the right
they're very good for reading books
and giving people funny looks

My ears are where they've always been
around the corner from my chin
and when it gets too cold out there
they snuggle up beneath my hair

My nose is in it's favourite place
right in the centre of my face
an ideal spot to whiff and sniff
with room to bring a handkerchief

My lips are where they can't be missed
alhough they don't like being kissed
they're rather fond of chocolate drops
and orange flavoured lollipops

My arms are mainly occupied
just hanging down on either side
but when they need to have a rest
I fold them up across my chest

My hands are where they're happiest
along the bottom of my wrists
with all their fingers and their thumbs
they're just the job for doing sums

My legs are rather smartly placed
between my ankles and my waist
they have a junction half way down
to help them bend and move around

My feet are where they like to be
supporting all the rest of me
they come in useful now and then
for counting numbers over ten

So if you tumble down the stairs
and can't remember what goes where
just recollect this simple rhyme
to help re-build you every time
