And I remember the night
We walked or rather I walked you
Under a shared umbrella
In pouring rain and street lamps
Pouring shafts of shower lights
Into blazing puddles of water
Into which we stepped carelessly
Hot shoulders touching, rubbing
Wet clothes, wet skins
Not talking and yet conversing
As man and woman does
When they walk as such
In the darkening night
A night of such pouring rain
With street lamps pouring lights
And not defining what each feels
Yet experiencing beyond mere words
Things all can feel in hot shoulders
Rubbing each other in the darkening night
A night of pouring rain and pouring lights............
Like a mystic stroll through an impressionist painting. Light, showers, heat and unspoken emotion all running together like rain on a window pane.....brilliant.10
A beautiful shower of light and rain and unspoken love or is it desire, the lines so thin between them. I wonder if men and women do would sound better than as man and woman does, to keep it in the past tense. However it's your poem so for you to decide but a very enjoyable write. 10/10 BB: O)
The stage so beautifully set For two souls ignited in passion to meet Allowing the readers scope To guess the chance of an elope....(Ha! Ha!) Enjoyed this beautiful shower! !
