And So It Goes Poem by Susan Lacovara

And So It Goes

And so it goes
This carousel
The up, up, up
Riding high the beautiful horses
To the piped out merry music

And so it goes
This ferris wheel
The round, round, round
of endless coiled circles
A view to pretty to believe

And so it goes
This roller coaster
The twisting, twisting twisting
Before the inevitable daredevil drop

And so it goes
Life under the big top
The characters, characters, characters
Yet none to replace my ringleader, You
