Anderson Dcccxxiii Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Be not my Muse for yr lips are ecstasy
And it's cruel to keep me away
Thou are like a rose soaking in light
With that star, the sun
Feeding it with envy
Thy face shadows my dreams at night
And in the morn, one's disappointed
For thou are not there to make love all day long
Thou belong to thee
And nothing compares to thee
Sun nor moon
All the stars are brightened with yr eyes
Cursing the blue skies
With dreamy clouds on top
And the rain falling like tears
