Angel Soul Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Angel Soul

Yesterday I was dreaming
As I danced down your childhood street,
And now I still believe
I'll see you again where the afternoon sun settles
On an avenue of flowers.

One day, we all will slip
Into the oblivion of forgetfulness,
But I'll work relentlessly until then
To immortalize the sound of your voice
And the piercing blue of your Friday evening eyes.

I'm going to whisper prayers in the moonlight
And give thanks in the milky dawn
That I felt this love in an hour of hope
As the essence of your angel soul was watching over me.
