Anger Contained Poem by Lauren Leontas

Anger Contained

Rating: 4.0

How does one contain anger, the feeling that is not meant to be contained?
The feeling that constantly is bursting at the seams ready to jump off a cliff and drag you into the furthest depths of the earth with it.
It destroys people by bringing a burning sensation to the heart that can only be described as fire, a fire that is never satisfied.
But what of those who do contain their anger?
Does revenge slowly creep into their thoughts as they lay in bed at night?
Does hatred appear in the corner of their minds at spontaneous times?
So, is it better to contain anger or let it run free?
Is it better to feel something than to not feel at all?

Anger motivates us to do the proper and required reaction, but we just need to know how to control it to be able to use it in the right way. Thanks

Anger is a reaction. It is giving in to passion and so, passive. Action negates anger. A moment of reflection on perspective, seeing the other point of view and having compassion instead. Anger is the short term loss of control. The long term is meanness and evil. Control anger? Simply do not get angry. Thank you for sharing, Lauren. Peace

Anger really cripples the container in so many ways. You write well my friend. Keep it coming. God bless you
