Animal Fight Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Animal Fight

Animal fight

Shocked I put my fingers in my ears
Killer is the echo of the laughter
There is no one here, there
But I and the walls
Surrounding.

There were scorpions and dogs
There were rams and cocks
And there were and there
Were and were and
There were…

In my mind and ears and head
The stories, experiences
And editorials on
Animal fights.

"Who the hell do you think you are? "
Said one dog convicted to be shot
Not for losing any fight but for
Having been saved from the
Fight organizer; as brutal
"Now everyone sees me
As if I am a terrorist"

No one shelters this dog as no one does the Syrians
Many agree with Donald Trump's:
"Ban the Muslims from United States."

Then I heard Muslims shout out loud:
"Who the hell do you think you are? "
They must claim:
"Return our exploited wealth; return our stolen brains and science.
And reconstruct our abolished cultures or we will take them back.
We do so by hook or crook; it is our right."
