Animated Flick Poem by Stephen Omolori

Animated Flick

Like sailor Popeye in need of spinach,
You are the only woman that I need.
Like Jerry's feet when Tom's anger is much,
I'll flee when other women pay me heed.
Like Asterix sipping his magic potion,
I sip happiness whenever you are near.
Like Rick Mitchell showing Linda his devotion,
I'll sacrifice a lot for you, my dear.
Like Voltron being seen up in the sky,
I want every eyes on earth to see you.
Like Shriek after making Fiona's jailer cry,
I'll build you a home where joy isn't a few.
Though existence isn't an animated flick,
My life's colourful with you as my chick.
