Annoyance(And)persistence Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Annoyance(And)persistence

Annoyance and persistence.
So similar in qualities they are.
Especially when teaching their differences.
Regardless if to an adult or child.
Since one seeking with determination,
To get a task done...
Depends on the situation.
And who or what,
Receives to believe...
Has achieved a beneficial outcome.
To do and perceive there has been,
A mutual understanding.

And so difficult this is to explain.
With examples to give to a child.
Encouraged to never give up,
On their dreams to wish.
As well as to an adult.
Who may seem to dream...
To persistently annoy others,
Wishing to do.
With proof of evidence left behind.

However...
Encouraging this activity,
Should be avoided at all cost to cause...
Unintended reactions.
Neither understood to understand.
Nor a stopping of an escalating argument.
Getting the police involved,
For disturbing the peace.
In a quiet neighborhood.

So difficult it is to know
How one will take constructive criticism.
Unfamiliar with it being 'constructive'.
And when to encourage,
Anyone to go after their dreams.
Still giving eyes filled with innocence.
Without it to have first qualify,
What the purpose of some kept dreams may be.
Because no one should feel obligated,
To be persistently annoyed and aggravated...
If the doing is not associated with appreciation.
Or...
The assistance given from one to another...
Willing to listen and apply this to understanding.
Has been totally missed.
And distant from one's consciousness.
It is a difficult task.
The do's and don'ts of assumptions made.
Especially...
When maturity to assume it is assumed.
Before validated.

And yet...
Young. Old. Mature or not.
There will be those doing everything possible,
To prove they will become successful people.
Others?
Seem to wish to be,
Persistently annoying to aggravate someone.
As if from a prepared list.
Of wants and wishes to successfully agitate!
To do seeking this done on a daily basis.

Also...
There is a fine line too,
Between patience and tolerance.
So thin this line,
It is becoming tested.
More than ever=
Leaving few unable to detect it shown.
