Another Life Lesson Poem by Katherine Graven

Another Life Lesson

Rating: 5.0

Lies untold
Truth unspoken
Shadowed dark window
Is now broken

Your recent actions was a hint
Of what I should have known
Your song and dance
Was just another wrong

Taking me by surprise
I still opened my eyes
I saw where your game was taking me
I am not going to play along

For someone got hurt
From this game you played
But thank God it wasn’t me
Who gave my heart away

So as you turn the page
Into another chapter of your fate
Remember the little games of life
Do come back in spite and destroy
Even make people hate

Dear friend I have to say
You are not what I thought
For you used me
To make another emotionally fall apart

So

Yes I know what you did
And this I did not appreciate
For now this friendship to me
Is just another life lesson and mistake

I do wish you well

And I do hope you have learned
When you purposely play life’s mean hurtful games
You are the one who ends up loosing and getting hurt.
