Another Plane Poem by Doris Cornago

Another Plane

Rating: 5.0

The beauty of a moment is lost on
One who is in another plane
Of consciousness
Whether
We
Meet
Or not
Our hearts
Are forever cleaved
On the first imprint of the
Moment of sharing the same plane

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Imprinting is to impress or stamp (a mark or outline) on a surface or body. It's a natural process in zoology when a young animal comes to recognize (another animal, person, or thing) as a parent or other object of habitual trust. There are people who affect me in this way and for me, it's an intuitive process which I can only attribute to a 'meeting of minds' at a precise moment of sharing at the same level.

Your brain hallucinates your conscious reality, says Anil Seth. According to the neuroscientist, we're all hallucinating all the time; when we agree about our hallucinations, we call it reality. So, if we can't agree on a thing, we're occupying different levels of perception and we cannot have a meeting of minds.
